# Report inappropriate behavior
You can block, restrict, or report another user from their profile or from Messages.
## From a user's profile
1. Go to the user's profile.
2. Select the three dots menu.
3. Choose Block, Restrict, or Report.
## From Messages
1. Open the chat with the user.
2. Select the three dots menu.
3. Choose Block, Restrict, or Report.
## Block or restrict
When you choose Block or Restrict, you can either:
- Block only or Restrict only
- Block and Report or Restrict and Report
If you choose Block and Report or Restrict and Report, you’ll be asked to select a report reason before submitting.
## What block and restrict mean
Block:
The user can’t access your profile or send you messages.
Restrict:
The user can’t send you direct messages or post publicly on your profile, but they may still be able to view your profile.
## FAQ
Can I block or restrict someone without reporting them?
Yes. You can choose Block only or Restrict only.
Does reporting someone automatically block them?
No. After reporting, you can also choose whether to block or restrict the user.
