Depending on your location, it may apply to purchases like Memberships, content, or physical goods on Passes. ## Does Passes charge sales tax? Only when required by law. If sales tax applies to your purchase, it's added to your total and shown clearly before you complete checkout - no surprises. ## How does sales tax appear on my receipt? - **Physical goods** receipts will show the exact tax amount collected. - **Processing fees** are listed separately - they're never combined with sales tax. - If the same tax applies to multiple items, it shows as a single line. If different taxes apply to different items, they may appear as separate lines (though that's rare). ## Who pays the sales tax? - As the buyer, you're responsible for any required sales tax. - When Passes collects it, we send it directly to the appropriate tax authority. - If sales tax isn't collected at checkout but is legally required in your area, you may need to pay it directly. ## Why am I being charged sales tax now when I wasn't before? Tax laws change. If your area has a new requirement, Passes will collect and add sales tax at checkout going forward. ## Is sales tax included in the price I see? Not always. Sales tax is typically added at checkout alongside any processing fees. You'll see the full total before you pay. ## Creators: What should you know about taxes? As a creator, you're responsible for understanding and managing taxes on your sales.
